“I find it so fascinating how time can be made visible in such a way. A hidden rhythm, suddenly seen. A silent spectacle above us, always. In the rush of life, we forget to look up. Beauty in motion, hidden in plain sight.”
“The sky never stops moving, even when it seems still. Like time, like art, like life; what appears silent is in motion.
Observe the visible, and you’ll see the hidden.
We, too, must keep moving. Stagnation is not of nature. We are part of the flow.”
Kenneth Kenisman
如同时间,如同艺术,如同生命;

“Depth emerges before my eyes, and the loud silence begins to breathe. It’s a resonance between color and line, a moment when space is infused with soul.
The blue surrounds like a magnetic field, as if light grows from within.
This is one of my favorite moments in creation.”
Kenneth Kenisman

“My intention was to continue to paint the deep blue. The next step in completing to open this portal. So the entire sky in the artwork would get this fully amazing blue depth. I bought even new brushes today for this job. But I felt a strong resistance inside myself. My intuition told me not to do it.

“After eating smoked salmon outside my art studio, the slices of fish cut to perfection by my good friend Simon, whose mind is as sharp as the blade he uses, I went back inside my art studio to take the time to enjoy the unfolding artwork I am working on. I always take my time to appreciate the story that has already become visible.
Many artists often talk about the importance of bright light in their studio. I am not one of them. I love it when there is just not enough light. The gates I open begin to show their true portal in the twilight, between darkness and light.”

“Unfolding the image on the canvas is like a game of chess. You have to place the right elements in the right positions. Before each move, a billion possibilities appear before your eyes and in your mind. In this act of creation, you’re not playing to win, but to achieve the best possible outcome; one that becomes visible. You win when you feel a deep sense of satisfaction.”
Kenneth Kenisman

I started painting the color, the moment when space is infused with soul.
I’m painting it in a deep, warm yellow, inspired by Chinese Imperial Yellow. I fell in love with this color after visiting the Summer Palace in Beijing last month. It’s magically warm and deep, like the power of the sun.
It’s not easy to paint; yellow is very transparent. It will take many layers to bring out its full depth. Just like reality: layer upon layer.

I sit by the window, smoking a cigarette, sipping my coffee after breakfast. The autumn sun shines softly outside. I am still waking up after a good night’s sleep. My thoughts flow gently, gliding into the day that is beginning.
My eye falls on the onions standing in a small jar before me. The shape of this wonderful plant amazes me. How it has grown; perfectly balanced. Every part developed in such a way that the whole remains in harmony. Each individual piece belongs to the rest. And the central part takes the lead, growing steadily forward, always moving ahead, yet constantly preserving the right balance.
This is exactly what happens when I create. The way my artwork unfolds, just the same. My pen, moving and drawing the strokes, is the part that makes growth possible. Yet it always works onward from the balanced parts already there, already drawn, already grown, in the very same creative process through which this onion came to be. Growing, unfolding, in a balanced and harmonious way.
When you take a refreshing walk in nature, or when you pause to look at the plants in your home, or the trees along your street,; observe their shape. See how they are built, how they have grown. Notice how beautifully they achieve harmony and balance.
Have an amazing day!

当你在大自然中散步,感受清新的气息;

“I created this artwork a couple of years ago, around the same time of year as now. I always loved it, it touched me deeply and I cherished the story it conveyed. Yet, I always sensed it wasn’t truly finished. It was beautiful, yes, but something was still missing. So I set it aside in my studio. There it remained, quietly watching me through the passing seasons, summers and winters alike, aging like a fine wine in a cellar. Patiently, silently, it waited with quiet confidence for the moment I would return to unlock its full potential.
Then yesterday, I received a stunning photo from a dear friend who is currently traveling in Japan. The brief message with the image read: “sky ocean blue with the touch of yellow. Tottori Sand Dunes.”
I was inspired. I took the piece and began painting again, continuing on the beautiful blue. Now, the artwork is unfolding in a deeply satisfying and majestic way.
The story, once partly concealed, is finally beginning to free itself. A new gate is opening.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed working on this large, floating artwork a few years ago, it was truly a unique experience. This massive canvas is in constant motion. Picture yourself standing in front of a vast black wall, holding a small bucket of white acrylic paint in your left hand and a brush in your right, ready to work your magic. As you let the tip of your brush glide across the surface of this enormous black wall, the wall sways gently, moving gracefully in rhythm with the water. It shifts up and down, side to side, and in a strange circular motion, with varying degrees of strength. Its movements resemble a compass spinning aimlessly, yet it feels calm, relaxed, and almost joyful, like a loving mother cradling her baby to sleep in her arms.
I began the painting with a massive curl on the front of the boat. Bold and elegant, it stands proudly, introducing the entire composition and flowing seamlessly into the story being told. The curl is reminiscent of the carved dragon or snake heads that adorned Viking ship bows, symbolizing protection against negative forces and harsh weather.
When the boat sails, the curl on the bow glides gracefully along the inland waterways, much like a beloved emperor riding his chariot triumphantly along a path of glory.
This floating artwork brings to mind one of my favorite Chinese idioms: “任凭风浪起,稳坐钓鱼船” (“Let the winds and waves rise; stay steady and calm like an angler on a fishing boat”). It reflects the idea of remaining composed and unshaken in the face of challenges, emphasizing inner strength, resilience, and the ability to stay focused amidst chaos.”

I’ve just moved; from the heart of the city to its quiet outskirts.
The past few weeks have been a blur of boxes, walls, and rearranging life.
I barely had time to pick up a brush or let my pencil wander across paper.
But now… I’m finally settling in.
My new home is wrapped in green; open fields stretch just beyond the corner,
and in my backyard stands a wise old tree, its branches whispering stories.
I even have a terrace where I can draw beneath the open sky.
Being surrounded by nature again feels like coming home to my soul.
The birds sing their morning hymns, leaves rustle like secrets in the wind,
and autumn paints the world in gold and flame.
Even the night is alive; its silence so deep, it sings.
Every ride to my studio takes me through wide-open fields.
There, under endless sky, I feel it:
I am part of something vast, ancient, and breathtakingly whole.
My eyes lift instinctively; drawn to the horizon, the clouds, the light.
Beauty doesn’t just pass before me; it enters me.
It fills me. It ‘ensouls’ me.
I walk through each day in wide-eyed wonder;
like a child seeing the world for the first time.
Yesterday, while cycling, I looked up, and there it was:
a falcon, suspended in midair.
Not flying, not falling; just ‘hanging’, perfectly still,
scanning the earth below with quiet intensity.
Its posture was pure harmony; every feather, every angle in divine balance.
So precise, so complete, it defied gravity itself.
Few birds can do this. Few things in nature hold such stillness with such power.
In that moment, the falcon wasn’t just hunting; it was composing.
A living masterpiece, suspended in sky, where every element aligns… and magic appears.
And I, small beneath it all, stood breathless,
reminded once again:
wonder is not rare.
It’s everywhere.
You just have to look up.

世上少有飞鸟能做到这一点;
那一刻,它不只是在捕猎;
